Man & Dog Motor Showtime!

If given a chance to be one of the judge at a talent search, which is IN???

Contestant #1:

A dog driving his master's motorcycle.
(August 7, 2010)

It's indeed very thoughtful of him to drive his master's scooter. This man & his dog or shall we say dog & his man don't have an idea that I took a picture of them in this scenario. I was on my way home but then I spotted such talented dog.

They could have themselves a spot in "Pilipinas Got Talent Search", having the dog drive for this man. This man was getting something from his pocket, i bet he received a text message from Vice-Ganda saying "May Nag-TEEEEEEEEEEEXT!"

Contestant #2:

Man doing dog-tricks in his motorcycle on the run.
(March 13, 2010)

Was it the hot temperature that tempted this man to do some dog-tricks on his motorcycle or it's just that he lost his skateboard on his way? He did it 5times & i took this shot on his 3rd trick. I guess he's still looking for his long lost skateboard.

My friends & I are having our lunch at Jo's Chicken Inato near Cebu Doctor's Hospital & there we spotted outside this could-be new talent for "Pilipinas Got Talent Search". Will he be buzzed with triple-X or be getting triple-YES?!

It's funny how things changed nowadays, like having a dog driving a motorcycle & a man driving like a dog on his motorcycle.

Tricks like these are really fun to look at but ain't fun at all & may cause an additional accident records for the day. It will be buzzed with triple "YES" by a traffic officer so don't bother following these tricks with your own motorcycle and/or with your pet dog.

Man is superior than animals so think like one, drive safely... Save your life & license from a triple-YES trouble!

Capitancillo Islet Escapade

I've been super busy since first week of February. I've been working Mondays through Sundays to keep up with my multiple task. Remember the saying "be careful what you wish for cause you might just get it"? I've wished to have more projects & tasks & that makes up my loaded schedule. I'm having 3 ongoing freelance projects w/ good rates & 1 part-time bookkeeping/accounting job with my previous supervisor handling 2-clients in a row. My sleeping time schedule changes from regular sleeping time into sleeping by dawn & will wake up in the middle of afternoon but still following the 8hours sleep. Wednesdays & Saturdays are great time to meet up with friends & Sundays for family but still work is on top priority. What's strange about it is that I don't feel the weekend at all but when I have vacant time during weekends, I just stay at home watching my new fave show "LOST" & some new episodes of my late favorite-"How I Met Your Mother".

Since work is all I think about each & everyday, I seldom think about going on a vacation. Vacation is good if you have more vacant time. But recently, I just got a 2days-off outing w/ my family & the cost is not that much so I don't have to worry about spending funds. I finally have time to relax, chill, & be away from work.

It's unforgettable experience that day when went to Capitancillo Islet on Sunday & it's a bit risky that day, since that morning, we we're able to receive news about tsunami that hits Chile & it could hit Philippines but thank God it didn't. It's 30minutes boat travel from Bogo beach shore.

The islet is surrounded by beautiful sets of coral reefs. It's excellent for snorkeling & it's one of the best diving spot in Cebu. It has clear sea water with white beach.

There were Japanese tourist in the islet from Medellin Beach Resort riding this beautiful boat for island hopping & one of them comes near to our cottage & drinks "Tuba or Palm wine" w/ our older folks. You can see how the water tries to lure you to come & dive. Lots of beautiful fishes around, I wasn't able to take a picture of them cause I don't have a water-camera.The lighthouse below is really beautiful. It's powered by energy from the sun & will light up during evening to give lights to ships & boats that passes by during evening.

If you happen to visit this island, here's a friendly reminder to keep it's beauty: LEAVE NOTHING BUT FOOTPRINTS, TAKE NOTHING BUT PICTURES.

(Photos here are shot from my mobile phone, no photoshop tricks...just a vivid images of one of those beautiful creation of GOD)

2009, i love you...goodbye!

Finally done with my fruit salad special. It looks ordinary but it's special because I prepared it with happy thoughts of 2009.

2009 is like my fruit salad, ordinary but colorful year. It consists of happy & sad memories from hellos to goodbyes and to hellos again. It ended some sweet dreams & nightmares and brought new sets of challenges. There are lots of sad & happy endings happened this year like doors closing for a cause & someone's cause but windows of opportunities were just around the corner.

It's full of mysteries & magical tricks but at the end events were perfectly just in time helping me get back to reality & leading me to new perspectives & good dimensions of life. Patience & staying humble as well as being more kinder to those who did us wrong is one of the great challenge this year & I thank them all for making me more sensible & more human.

Just like every beginning has an end, 2009 will become part of yesterday & history & part of references for the next year 2010, I would like to thank God for all the things that happened & all the blessings for this year.

HAKUNA MATATA for 2010!!!... leaving all my sorrows & worries for 2009 & wishing PEACE & PROSPERITY to all! 2009, i love you, GOODBYE!!!

Werkin in Pajamas

As Christmas nears... There are busy shoppers rushing to the stores buying gifts & availing end of the year inventory sales & Christmas decorations everywhere. Everyone is busy preparing for Christmas parties & events. It is the best season every year.

As for me, it is the season of love & sharing. A season for changes too. While everyone is busy preparing for their company's Christmas party, I am busy preparing for my notice of resignation. I feel lots of changes passed by & I too needs to get some changes like a change in my career. It seems that I have to let go of something in my past like being super attached to my beloved company which was unfortunately dissolved last August in this year. I just went back to the next company which is connected with the old one since I need to complete the pending tasks that I left for a couple of days that month. Now that all my tasks are finally done & I know things aren't the same & the office is getting lonelier each day, I decided to move out along with others.

My choice of resigning wasn't that easy. Since it was my first time to resign, it took me 3 weeks of sleepless nights thinking of things & risks upon doing this decision. But yes, I finally resigned & I took responsibility on my decision making. There are risk but yes they're part of change & I just add them up to more challenges in my jobless days. Lucky for me to win another freelance project in which I am earning enough money for paying my bills. But I wish I could get my last pay sooner for me to be able to buy things & gifts.

I don't have plans yet to find new job in a new company. I just want to have a long vacation from working in a company since I will just be missing my old company. I need space to get over with it. I just can't deny the pains that I have since I was totally affected emotionally seeing people & my company come & go.

Nowadays, I just spend my waking days at home playing poker-fun in Facebook, watching my favorite Korean action-drama "IRIS" & surfing the net, aside from socializing with friends online. During evening till dawn, I work in pajamas. It's good thing that there's less cost of transportation to the office & less cost in thinking what to wear for the office plus less make-up. I get to watch my favorite tv shows & spending my time with my family while working online.

For now, I maintain goodwill & great work on my current projects & tasks. My Christmas wish is prosperity to all & more projects & tasks coming for me & to all my friends who also work in pajamas.

When my notebook gone bad...

My beloved hp nx9000 aka "ging" is not getting younger. It has reached notebook retirement stage. It was just a year & 2months since i bought it. It was 2nd hand w/ a cheap price of P6,000.00 cash. It's actually my older brother who lend me money for having this one, thanks to him, after a few months I was able to pay him the full amount. I just bought it for recreational purposes like sound trips, games, movie-marathons, e-book readings, chatting & online surfing.

IMG0831A.jpg

I've spent most of my time with it at home after work & during weekends. It really entertains me a lot. Aside from entertainment, it makes me learn new things & helps me with my talents. I've installed adobe Photoshop and learned basic photo-editing with the help of my colleagues. My dream of being a recording arfist came a bit true with it when I was able to create a mini-recording studio at my room, I actually installed wave pad & mix pad softwares given by my good officemate whose so into music too. I actually record songs with instrumental music being downloaded from the net plus my own voice, singing like a pro. I made my own Tagalog-version of a level-up games RF-Online theme song "THE ONE" for a friend & won the "Level up! Video/Media Category at http://risingforce.levelupgames.ph/news_main_view.html?rid=195. To download, visit http://levelupgames.ph/images/TagalogRFsong.mp3. View its video version at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FNe2aAzPe-8, it was created by my former multi-talented officemate, thanks to her. I've uploaded some of my recorded songs & videos as well as my beloved cat "brutus" videos at http://www.youtube.com/user/bemzlynx.

coffee break
Aside from entertainment purposes, I went to work with my Ging. It's one of those times when there's no available pc or notebook units at the office for me. I went to work like "dora-the-explorer" having my notebook backpack at my back. At first it was fun bringing it to the office but then it was a pain the back. Glad they had finally provided me with a notebook & I was happy that it's IBM thinkpad.

Then SADdenly, after 6months from purchase, I've encountered problems with Ging. It started with "printscreen"-key that keeps on clicking, making it hard for me to insert a copied image. Then it became more terrible when i can't chat or type well since "e"-key gets on clicking like "eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". The "Ctrl-key" got uncontrollable. Then afterwards, other keys keep on clicking. I got it fixed but then after a few months it suffered super-System error that makes the hard drive fatal damage. After a month, I've spent P2,500.00 for a 2ndhand 40gb hard disk since its brand new hard disk was already faced-out and paid P500.00 for the repair & recovery. Atlast, it was finally back in action. I was using it for entertainment purposes again minus the application games & recordings.

Recently, during a series of unfortunate events, I decided to join a freelancing dimension. It was last August 21, 2009 when my previous company was dissolved, I was able to create an account but not totally spent my time on it. Afterwards, I began to apply for part-time online-jobs. Then luckily, i was able to win a client for a certain web software support assignment. Then on my first day of assignment, my ging gone bad...the down-key keeps on clicking and my firefox browser keeps on not responding. But i was glad i was able to execute well my first assignment which is to train one of the staff through skype. After that day, I was asked to make a documentation regarding the activities & correct usage of that certain software. When I was working on that task that night, same keyboard problem occurred & it got system error. It automatically restarted & it makes it's performance more slower. I was totally pissed about it. I've planned to have it fix again but i don't think it will make it better so i decided to have my new netbook sooner that day.

note: i was so pissed that i even remove the "down-key" & "right-key"...hehe too bad i can't return them back to their places.

BOTTOM LINE:
1. Don't buy secondhand laptops specially the cheaper ones who have reached adulthood...hehe
2. Don't remove anything or do something on your notebook without a technical support, you might not be able to return it well oh well...
3. Invest on brand new notebook/netbook with genuine softwares.

"OH my DESK!" - a workaholic monologue

After 2 weeks of applying for a part-time freelance job, i finally got an online interview last monday & I was hired for a certain job. I wasn't expecting it to happen in a quick lead time, since i'm a newbie. With the help of my friends,i was able to know about this certain freelancer-dimension.

At first, i was hesitant about this interesting thing but because of some unfortunate events, i was able to create my own account. Before applying for any job, i make it sure that my profile is almost completed like 90%. I also took few tests & gladly passed. Afterwards, i was checking my mails & checking some job notifications. There are lots of opportunities in there but i just applied for those that i believed i would be qualified. But then, i was checking on my mails for any reply but was disappointed getting "job candidacy ended"-notifications. And when i was about to expect new disappointments, 2 interview invitation just popped-out at my inbox on a beautiful monday morning. Glad to have an experience with a certain database, one of the skills needed for the job. I won the bid after the interview & i was so happy. I was given an assignment notification & a brief overview about my client's company. I will be starting my part-time job tomorrow and it will be a very busy day & night for me. I've got lots to-do's for my current day job & i am excited about doing it all in a day. At the end of day, i'm hoping to finish all my tasks with satisfied clients.
